We are seeking a passionate and qualified Sociology Teacher to join our dedicated team at VITA School. You will be responsible for engaging and inspiring Senior High School students in the exploration of sociological concepts, helping them develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the social world around them.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the national curriculum standards for Sociology.
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, active participation, and respectful dialogue.
Utilize diverse teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, group activities, simulations, and project-based learning.
Integrate relevant current events and real-world examples into the curriculum to connect academic theories with practical applications.
Effectively assess student learning through various methods, such as quizzes, essays, presentations, and class participation.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their understanding and academic performance.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a cohesive and effective curriculum across grade levels.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest trends and best practices in Sociology education.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor Degree on Education or relevant field of studies
Exceptional command of English, both oral or written
Working experience in related field is a plus
Strong understanding of sociological theories, concepts, and research methods
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for diverse learners.
